We are pleased to announce our first retail destination for the SNÜX® | OVERBOOT with world renowned U.S based outdoor retailer, REI. Now available in select stores and at rei.com, discover the Overboot collection this winter for warmer alpine adventures.
Introducing the first ensemble looks from SNÜX®. Presented as a collection using our signature Overboot garment, styled with monochromatic outerwear to bring focus to a renewed elegance of on-mountain footwear. 3D practice is the chosen medium for both the visual development of the Overboot collection and the creation of virtual avatars as means for the brand’s lexicon.
Alpine skiing and mountaineering have been part of SNÜX's DNA since the brand's inception in 2018. The official debut of the Overboot in 2020 was a great success while reaching many of the best athletes in the world: a true reflection of the brand’s efforts to further advance winter adventure, warmer. During the 2021-2022 ski season, SNÜX is establishing itself as a real player in the technical apparel market for professional skiers by partnering with a benchmark French establishment: the National School of Mountain Sports in France, École Nationale de Ski et d’Alpinism, ENSA for short. World-renowned and based in Chamonix Mont-Blanc, ENSA will be provided with the high performance SNÜX Overboot. The world’s leading ski boot cover designed with innovative technology and high functionality to optimise for maximum comfort in extremely cold and challenging alpine conditions. As the official partner of the French national ski and mountaineering school, SNÜX will gain credibility and extend its influence in the French Alps as a leading brand in technical apparel for skiers.
A young Australian founded the company SNÜX in 2018, two years later he won the Good Design Award in the Sport and Lifestyle category and now wants Europe to take off. SNÜX takes up a problem that almost all winter sports enthusiasts suffer from: cold feet. SNÜX is the world's first overshoe for ski boots on the market. It keeps feet protected in winter sports from cooling down. The founder Benjamin Price developed a sophisticated thermal material made of five layers and even read it has been through accredited NASA laboratory testing. The concept should remind many of the shoe covers for cyclists. And in fact the concept is a similar one!
But during the winter, pick up your skies – and don’t forget your Snüx, a ski boot cover that heats your feet on the slopes. The Snüx ski boot cover heats without batteries and is powered by Cozytech, an advanced thermal garment technology developed using a nanomembrane fiber that delivers heat-generating qualities and adaptive insulation, according to the brand.
Benjamin Price, founder and chief executive officer at Snüx, told WWD, “We are providing skiers with advanced sustained warmth on the mountain through the power of innovative material sciences. All presented in a sleek garment — giving a polished look to traditionally clunky ski boots.”
